Kyabram is a welcoming, inclusive, and progressive community that embraces modern regional living. In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the Bangerang and Yorta Yorta people as the traditional custodians of the land on which Kapram Farm stands.

We respect and acknowledge their unique cultural heritage and pay our respects to all Elders—past, present, and emerging.

A taste of dairy history

Nestled in the heart of Goulburn Valley, Northern Victoria—Australia’s Dairy Capital—we’re proud to have a farm that combines modern technology with wholesome traditional farming techniques.

Spanning 734 hectares of fully irrigated farmland, our property has been thriving since the 1800s, supported by a perfect climate with over 250 sunny days a year and a cool, dry atmosphere that keeps our cattle happy and healthy.

These fast-growing herds, bred from superior Canadian genetics, are known for their exceptional milk yield. We make sure there’s plenty of space for each cow to enjoy the fresh air and sunlight as they roam and graze, with 4,000 square metres of lush, fresh grassland per animal.

At Kapram Farm, our herd of over 1,800 purebred A2A2 Holstein dairy cows is raised with care and precision, avoiding antibiotics and hormone boosters, to produce high-quality, high-protein A2 milk.

Do you know?

A2 milk can only be produced by cows with the A2 genetic profile. All cows used to be the A2A2 type but over time, genetic variance made A1A2 and A1A1 types more common!

Do you know? Do you know?

A2 milk can only come from cows with this specific genetic makeup, so we meticulously test every calf born on our farm. But we don’t stop there. We also conduct advanced protein testing on every batch of milk to ensure it contains almost no A1 protein, which is harder to digest.

“When you pour a glass of Kapram A2 milk, you know it's straight from a true blue Aussie farm.”

This triple-layered approach—genetic testing, protein testing, and batch testing—guarantees milk that’s as pure, nutritious, and delicious as nature intended.

Nurturing the land for generations to come

We believe that we have a responsibility to care for future generations. To us, that means nourishing bodies through premium, healthy milk, and nourishing the land through sustainable farming practices.

We grow the majority of our cattle’s feed right here, and avoid industrial fertilisers and pesticides, using the natural manure to nourish the soil instead. We use renewable energy to power our operations on the farm, and have water recycling systems in place to make sure every precious drop counts. With a total water usage of 2,800 mega litres, we’re able to maintain a self-sufficient feed supply, even during dry conditions and continue to operate sustainably, no matter the weather.

Farming forward: traditional techniques and modern technology

On our farm, we use an automatic dairy rotary that can milk up to 300 cows per round, which means our milk is collected quickly and smoothly with the highest standards of comfort and care for our animals. We store our fresh raw milk in three refrigerated milking tanks, which can hold up to 60,000 litres, ensuring optimal storage and quality control.

We see the value in time-honoured farming techniques, and use modern technology to enhance their efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Our modern cattle shed provides a comfortable and spacious environment for up to 1,200 milking cows. We also have five farm households and a large feed barn, supporting our hardworking team and ensuring a steady supply of high-quality feed, including premium lucerne, corn, and hay. And our whole operation is protected by a 24/7 infrared camera and security system.
